Items this document does not state (12)
These are items the company does not state in this document. We do not leave them blank, nor fill them in from other sources or by inference.
The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The weaker yen, the resumption of diamond bar sales in China, increased sales in India, strong sales of surgical products in Europe and North America, and increased sales of eyeless needle products in Asian markets including China, Thailand and India contributed to the increase in revenue. Higher revenue and an improved cost-of-sales ratio following the resumption of diamond bar sales more than offset higher expenses, resulting in increased operating profit.
