「We may hold cross-shareholdings when we believe that maintaining and strengthening business relationships with the companies whose shares we hold will contribute to enhancing our corporate value, subject to a resolution by the Board of Directors. In such cases, the Corporate Administration Division reviews the status of transactions with the investee companies, as well as their financial condition, operating performance, share prices and dividends, and the Board of Directors verifies the rationale for the holding purpose and the related earnings, benefits or risks arising from holding the shares before deciding whether to continue holding them. These cross-shareholdings are reviewed and reported on a regular basis, and shares that the Board of Directors determines have diminished significance as cross-shareholdings are sold successively.」
