The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Declines in sales of medical gloves, urination and drainage-related products, blood bags, and apheresis blood collection circuits for North America weighed on net sales and operating income. The Company also recorded interest expense and foreign exchange losses, as well as a ¥934 million loss on business restructuring related to the restructuring of its production base in South Korea as an extraordinary loss. For the next fiscal year, the Company expects overseas demand to recover and expand, along with the benefits of structural reform, price pass-through, and cost reductions.
