The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The strong increase in the number of customers was the primary factor behind net sales growth, although June was affected by an unseasonal typhoon. Profits were below the year-earlier period because promotional expenses were recognized following the revision of the benefits tier system in September 2025, whereas no such expenses were incurred in the year-earlier period. The company considers this to be a change in the timing of promotional expenses, with a limited impact on the full year. The full-year forecast remains unchanged because net sales have continued to perform steadily in line with the initial forecast.
