Reason for the revision

First-quarter consolidated results increased in both revenue and profit as the coating-related business expanded its share of products sold to automakers and other industries, progressed with the pass-through of higher purchase prices into selling prices, and provided timely and flexible supply responses to supply-chain uncertainty. The electronics-related business also benefited from increased sales of software for car navigation systems and expanded shares of automotive sensors and motor controllers. Although uncertainties remain, including the impact of heightened tensions in the Middle East, the Company considered its first-quarter consolidated results and information available at this time for the full-year forecast.
