「To date, we have converted in-store lighting to LEDs across all stores, upgraded refrigeration, freezing and gas air-conditioning equipment to high-efficiency models, installed evaporative cooling equipment at the air-conditioner outdoor-unit inlets to reduce electricity consumption, and installed solar power generation equipment. As a result, the energy consumption intensity under the Act on Rationalizing Energy Use and Shifting to Non-Fossil Energy decreased by 14.0% from fiscal 2019 to fiscal 2023, while the electricity-demand-optimization evaluation intensity under the same law decreased by 13.8% over the same period.」
