Reason for the revision

Net sales exceeded the forecast because customer production recovered in the domestic segment, newly ordered products contributed to sales, and the yen remained weaker against all currencies than the exchange rates assumed in the initial forecast. On the earnings side, the increase in net sales, price revisions, an improvement in the gross profit margin resulting from higher productivity in the manufacturing segment, and selling, general and administrative expenses falling below plan, mainly in the overseas segment, contributed to results. Although the Company recognized an impairment loss of ¥604 million in the China business as an extraordinary loss, profit attributable to owners of the parent exceeded the full-year earnings forecast.
