The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In addition to including C-United株式会社 as a consolidated subsidiary in April 2026, the Group refreshed its menus, expanded its product lineup and implemented sales promotion initiatives. Sales were strong in April and May, but customer traffic was negatively affected in June by adverse weather, including typhoons, and the FIFA World Cup. Initiatives including the all-you-can-eat yakiniku campaign at “カルビ大将” and weekday-only menus and upsizing promotions at “かっぱ寿司” also led to a decline in the gross profit margin.
