「However, we expect the conditions seen in the first half, when sales activities were severely restricted by limits on access to medical institutions because of the impact of COVID-19 and Education programs, medical conferences and seminars were cancelled, to continue in the second half. It remains difficult to explain new implants and surgical instruments to healthcare professionals in person and allow them to handle the products, and the sales-expansion effect of introducing new products in the second half is expected to fall below the initial outlook. The sales-expansion effect from expanding the customer base is also expected to fall below the initial outlook because medical institutions have restricted in-person sales activities to acquire new customers. However, in addition to introducing products as scheduled, we will work to actively expand seminars and study sessions conducted remotely and further strengthen remote sales activities.」
