The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The company said it worked to increase the added value of its products and stores, convert shoppers into customers, strengthen ties with local communities, and reform its earnings structure. Results improved as a result of expanding sales of food and housing and leisure products, promoting low-priced products, revitalizing stores, converting store formats, and improving productivity. The decline in net income forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027 is attributed to planned impairment losses at certain stores resulting from investments to implement the new medium-term management plan and support the renewed growth of its stores.
