The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the Mobile business, the average selling price increased as sales efforts focused on mid-range smartphones, and the number of subscribers to post-purchase usage support also rose. However, the number of line contracts fell short of target following revisions to incentive programs by telecommunications carriers, leaving the company unable to cover sales event costs. In the Imaging business, New Year's card printing declined, while orders for Nandemo Dubbing surged and sales of Tsukurundesu DIY products were strong. For the next fiscal year, the company is taking a cautious view of net sales due to uncertainty over the outlook, including rising prices, financial and capital markets, and the situation in the Middle East.
