In the Fashion business, sales of summer merchandise were sluggish because temperatures did not rise as much as they had the previous year in the latter part of the period, compounded by unsettled weather, including typhoons. In the Food Service business, limited-time menus and price revisions contributed to sales, while in the Education business, an increase in the number of children and students contributed to sales.
The Company recognizes that events or circumstances exist that raise substantial doubt about the going-concern assumption, but has determined that no significant uncertainty exists because it expects to receive continued support from its lending financial institutions.
