The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Net sales increased as existing sales initiatives took hold, sales of core products and digital signage increased, and nearly 70 new customers were acquired outside the SS business. Although the Company passed higher procurement costs on to selling prices and managed procurement and inventory volumes, selling, general and administrative expenses increased due to higher personnel expenses following base-pay increases and the cost of adding vehicles to the business rental car service. The forecast for the next fiscal year was left undetermined because the escalating situation in the Middle East makes it difficult to reasonably estimate the impact on the supply of petroleum-related products and car-care revenue.
