「The wholesale business reported net sales of ¥2,712 million, down 8.4% year on year, and operating income of ¥200 million, down 13.6%. The retail business reported net sales of ¥5,032 million, up 12.3%, and operating income of ¥457 million, up 46.2%. The real estate business reported net sales of ¥85 million, down 0.3%, and operating income of ¥66 million, up 4.5%. The scaffolding rental business reported net sales of ¥199 million, down 28.5% year on year, but operating income was ¥3 million, compared with an operating loss of ¥12 million in the prior-year period, due to reduced procurement. The sash and glass installation business reported net sales of ¥291 million, up 18.4%, and operating income of ¥9 million, compared with an operating loss of ¥4 million in the prior-year period.」
Wholesale reported lower revenue and lower operating income, retail reported higher revenue and higher operating income, real estate reported lower revenue but higher operating income, scaffolding rental improved from an operating loss to operating income despite lower revenue, and sash and glass installation reported higher revenue and higher operating income.
