「To promote our “Basic Sustainability Policy,” the Representative Director and President serves as the person with ultimate responsibility for management decisions concerning sustainability promotion. At management meetings, the President determines and implements policies addressing sustainability issues, including environmental issues, work-style reform, diversity promotion, human resources development and social contribution, from a medium- to long-term perspective. Policies decided at management meetings are also shared with the Board of Directors, and we are working to strengthen our sustainability promotion structure under the Board’s direction and supervision.」

「We consider the pursuit of sustainability to be a major challenge for our Group and for society as a whole. While promoting management in line with our corporate principles of “contributing to society,” “corporate perpetuity” and “employee happiness,” we will continue sustainability initiatives across all businesses so that we can contribute to society and create economic value on a sustained basis from a long-term perspective. We will further strengthen company-wide sustainability management, including stronger risk management and compliance.」
