「As a result, revenue was ¥276.7 million, up 2.0% year on year, and operating profit was ¥23.5 million, up 17.7%. In the retail business, revenue was ¥509.9 million, up 1.3% year on year, and operating profit was ¥43.3 million, down 5.3%. We focused on the appropriate maintenance and efficient operation of rental assets, resulting in revenue of ¥9.1 million, up 7.0% year on year, and operating profit of ¥6.6 million, down 0.6%. Although we worked to improve productivity through more efficient operations and reduce expenses, revenue was ¥20.1 million, up 0.9% year on year, and operating profit was ¥2.5 million, up 548.3%. Although we worked to improve operational efficiency by thoroughly implementing the fundamentals of design, supervision and construction at worksites, construction orders received in early spring remained sluggish. Revenue was ¥24.0 million, down 17.5% year on year, and the operating loss was ¥0 million, compared with operating profit of ¥9 million in the year-earlier period.」
Wholesale posted higher revenue and profit, retail higher revenue and lower profit, real estate higher revenue and lower profit, and scaffolding rental higher revenue and a significant increase in profit. Sash and glass installation posted lower revenue and an operating loss.
