The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The factors driving higher revenue included increased sales of the new LIVE DAM WAO! product, growth in equipment rental contracts and the number of operating DAM units, higher same-store sales at karaoke and food-service venues, and increased revenue from the parking business. Operating profit was weighed down by higher promotional expenses related to the new product, personnel expenses, depreciation, food costs and other costs. The decline in net income was attributed to the reversal of the increase in deferred tax assets and corporate tax adjustments recorded in the previous fiscal year.
