Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

Each business grew on the back of consultative sales, proposals combining telecommunications and financial services, demand for seasonal appliances, investment in personnel, stores and DX, stable product supply, and expanded sales channels. Ordinary profit included a gain of ¥14,627 million on the sale of investment securities. Profit declined in the services business due to higher selling, general and administrative expenses, and in the overseas business due to the pullback following Singapore's support measures for purchases of energy-saving products.
