「As a result, we confirmed that the final quality of the new material processed on the current production line was satisfactory and proceeded with various final checks toward obtaining certification for mass production.」
In response to the risk of failure or delays in bringing the new material into mass production, development progressed through completion of the laboratory building, SAFRAN’s testing and evaluation accreditation and final quality confirmation. However, mass-production certification and full-scale mass production have not yet been completed. - FY2025First statedAnnual report
「We have spent several years developing new titanium-aluminide blade materials to avoid material supply risk and expand earnings. As mass production became feasible, we plan to begin gradually supplying our own new materials from the fiscal year ending June 2027 and ultimately switch all titanium-aluminide blades processed by us to our own new materials. However, mass production of new materials through casting is a first for us. If mass production failed or the schedule were delayed, our results and financial condition could be materially affected through lower sales and profits for titanium-aluminide blades and weaker cash management caused by lower collection of sales proceeds.」
Mass production of the new material is intended to reduce supply risk and expand earnings, but because casting-based mass production is new to the company, failure or delays were identified as a new risk to results and cash management.
