「Today, we entered into a memorandum of understanding with Griffin Corp. (Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea; Representative Director Min Myeonggee; hereinafter, “Griffin”) to jointly examine the feasibility of developing a litigation-financing service in Japan, and, based on the MOU, the two companies will begin jointly examining the development of a framework and business model suited to Japanese law and domestic practice, as well as a future limited pilot test, as described below.」
A memorandum of understanding was signed with Griffin to examine the feasibility of a litigation-financing service in Japan, including compatibility with Japanese law and domestic practice, user protection, the operating structure and business viability. Phase 1 will cover framework and business-model design and validation of practical needs, followed by consideration of a limited pilot and whether to proceed with a full rollout.
