The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The conversion rate from orders to revenue declined and accounts receivable increased because of changes in the customer mix for orders received in the previous and current fiscal years and longer lead times before support began. In addition, order volume was constrained after the company introduced a rule under which orders are recorded only when the order is received and support begins in the same month, as well as an upfront lump-sum payment scheme for sole proprietors.
