Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

As this was the first year of consolidation, no year-on-year comparative analysis was conducted. Factors contributing to performance included an increase in the number of Medical Navita and Public Navita installations, higher coupon-fee revenue in the Advertising and Promotion Business and an expansion of existing and new business partners, expansion of the directory assistance system, strengthened sales activities, and the acquisition of large-scale signage projects by 株式会社アイセイ社. These factors were partly offset by revenue from Station Navita falling below the previous year and the impact of a decline in the number of visitors to Japan from China.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

株式会社アイセイ社 was made a consolidated subsidiary to strengthen the Group's overall capabilities by sharing its technological expertise with the Company's network of sales locations and sales capabilities. In the next fiscal year, the Company will work to increase the value of existing media, develop new media, deepen its businesses with local governments and medical institutions, strengthen its web-based products, develop new products, enhance its sales capabilities, and control costs and ordinary expenses. In the disaster-prevention business, sales expansion did not progress as initially anticipated, and the specialist department was discontinued because it had largely achieved its original objectives.
