Items this document does not state (13)
These are items the company does not state in this document. We do not leave them blank, nor fill them in from other sources or by inference.
The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The difference between fiscal years in the revision of official prices in the Educare business, the earlier recognition of employee treatment improvement expenses, and a timing shift in the recognition of revenue from certain subsidies resulted in an approximately ¥300 million negative impact on profit. SG&A expenses increased, mainly due to semi-variable costs associated with babysitter payment processing and systems as the business expanded, as well as nondeductible consumption taxes.
