「With respect to the damages action filed on 27 February 2021 against the company and SBI SECURITIES CO., LTD., the company determined that the solicitation activities conducted by its affiliated IFAs were lawful and that the claim had no merit, and contested the action in court. On 1 December 2022, the court of first instance rendered a judgment dismissing all of the plaintiff's monetary claims. The plaintiff appealed, but the appeal was dismissed in the appellate judgment dated 7 July 2023. The plaintiff then filed a final appeal, but the final appeal was dismissed in the judgment dated 21 December 2023, and the judgment became final. The dismissal of the monetary claims was thereby finalized, and the judgment had no effect on the company's performance.」
