Reason for the revision

First-quarter results for the fiscal year ending March 2027 exceeded the initial plan, due to increased sales of motorcycle clutches in India and automotive clutches in North America, as well as the positive impact of foreign exchange movements on earnings. The dividend forecast was revised based on the higher of the two dividend targets: a 50% payout ratio or a 3.5% dividend-on-equity ratio (DOE).

Previous-period resultsSecond quarter (interim period): revenue of ¥126,375 million, operating profit of ¥10,135 million, profit before tax of ¥11,055 million, interim profit attributable to owners of the parent of ¥8,965 million, and basic interim earnings per share of ¥185.13. Full year: revenue of ¥260,836 million, operating profit of ¥18,927 million, profit before tax of ¥21,567 million, profit for the period attributable to owners of the parent of ¥18,760 million, and basic earnings per share of ¥387.36.
Dividend forecast revisionThe dividend per share forecast has been revised from ¥80.00 to ¥90.00 for the end of the second quarter, from ¥80.00 to ¥90.00 for the year-end dividend, and from ¥160.00 to ¥180.00 for the annual total.
