Notice Regarding a Change in the Use of Funds

The use of funds raised through the issuance of stock acquisition rights previously disclosed has been changed. The costs of purchasing land for and installing equipment at the new plant, as well as Tamadai's capital investment costs, have been withdrawn, and the funds will instead be allocated to the costs of demolishing the Atsugi Plant and addressing soil contamination, the costs of acquiring the EV bus business and its working capital, and funds for future M&A, among other purposes.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

This change was made because, in connection with the relocation of the Atsugi Plant, expenditures for demolishing the existing plant and addressing soil contamination became necessary ahead of the land purchase and capital investment. In addition, it became necessary to secure funds for acquiring the EV bus business, its working capital after acquisition, and future M&A. The capital investment costs for Tamadai were withdrawn from the current use of funds because the company is considering obtaining funding through other means, including an alliance with a third party.
