The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In addition to firm inbound and foodservice demand, the company pursued promotional activities, identified high-margin products and private-brand products, expanded into new areas, and improved logistics and manufacturing efficiency. Although rising utility and logistics costs put downward pressure on profit, the company reviewed and streamlined its operations. Interim net income attributable to owners of the parent increased due in part to gains on sales of fixed assets associated with the replacement of business-use real estate.
