The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Revenue from nursery schools, after-school childcare facilities and nursing care facilities newly contracted since April 2025 contributed to results. In the childcare business, a 5.3% increase in government-set prices and lower labor costs also contributed to improved profitability. In the nursing care business, however, the costs of opening new facilities and lower-than-expected occupancy rates weighed on profit, while in the lifestyle support business, lower enrollment in cooking classes and higher costs for ingredients and other materials put pressure on profit.
