「Our group conducted research into a system designed to detect foreign objects on surfaces such as runways using our expertise in radar signal processing. Assuming installation on runway maintenance vehicles and other equipment, we used external facilities to conduct experiments detecting stones, concrete, metal fragments, bolts and other objects over distances ranging from several meters to 30 meters. For the first-stage target of detection within 10 meters, the results showed that detection was possible in nearly all cases.」
The Company described for the first time its research into a foreign-object detection system using radar signal processing and UWB, intended for installation on maintenance vehicles and other equipment. The results showed that the first-stage target of detecting objects within 10 meters was nearly achievable.
