The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The decline in net sales reduced the Company's ability to absorb fixed costs, resulting in lower operating profit. In terms of net sales, demand for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, mainly in Japan, and the reduction of FA-related inventories were cited as recovery factors, while overseas sales were affected by U.S. tariff policy, the sluggish Chinese economy and the sluggish European economy.
