The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Orders and deliveries of small refrigerators for hospitals, metal flooring for semiconductor manufacturing equipment manufacturers, and private-label products for mass retailers contributed to results. In addition, the shift toward more profitable sales channels and products, lower discounting as inventory adjustments progressed, lower costs related to inventory valuation losses recorded in the previous fiscal year, and fixed-cost controls contributed to the improvement in profit.
