Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

Probe cards for memory applications remained strong as demand in the HBM market continued, while profitability also improved as high-value-added products for DRAM accounted for a larger share of sales. Meanwhile, research and development expenses increased as the company pursued technology development and other initiatives for the future. The TE business reported a loss because revenue did not reach the level required to secure profitability and it also incurred costs associated with front-loaded development spending.
