「Initially, the company primarily analysed domestic sites as its risk-analysis targets. In the 2025 review, major overseas sites were also included, based on a selection criterion of assets of ¥100 million or more, providing a more comprehensive assessment of climate change impacts on future business.」
For climate change response, major overseas sites were added to the analysis scope, while the scope and data accuracy of scenario analysis were expanded in Japan, including through the use of flood-risk maps published by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. - FY2023First statedAnnual report
「The group is convened at least once a year as an organisation reporting directly to the Management Meeting. It serves as the secretariat for the Management Meeting's deliberation, consideration and oversight of climate change-related issues, and discusses and organises a range of climate change-related matters, including identifying, assessing and managing risks and opportunities, evaluating actual GHG emissions for each fiscal year, monitoring progress on emissions-reduction measures, and the content of external disclosures.」
For environmental issues including climate change, the company has for the first time disclosed separately the framework under which the Sustainability Promotion Group and the General Affairs Department's Risk Management Unit identify, assess and manage risks and opportunities. It also describes reporting to the Management Meeting, oversight by the Board of Directors, evaluation of actual GHG emissions, and monitoring progress on reduction measures.
