By region, domestic revenue benefited from large projects, outside broadcast vehicle systems and equipment for government agencies, while North American revenue benefited from broadcasting camera and medical camera projects. In Europe, revenue was affected by order deferrals and weak demand for medical cameras, while in Asia it was affected by the stagnation of the Chinese economy and inventory adjustments by OEM customers.

The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. For the fiscal year ended March 2026, operating profit increased because second-quarter revenue significantly exceeded the year-earlier period and gross profit margin improved in addition to higher revenue. Selling, general and administrative expenses increased due to higher research and development expenses for developing IP-compatible broadcasting systems and acquiring next-generation technologies. Net income attributable to owners of the parent was also affected by the adjustment of corporate income taxes and other taxes associated with the recognition of deferred tax assets. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the contribution from large projects is expected to be limited as customers' capital investment plans reach completion, while a gain on the sale of fixed assets related to the transfer of the Shiohama facility is scheduled to be recorded as extraordinary income.
