「AXELL CORPORATION (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Matsuura Kazunori (松浦 一教); hereinafter “AXELL”), through joint research with Matsuoka Kotaro (松岡 航太郎) of the Graduate School of Informatics at Kyoto University, has developed a new algorithm that significantly improves processing speed, the greatest challenge to commercialization, for TFHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption over the Torus), a next-generation technology that enables calculations to be performed while data remains encrypted.」
The company has disclosed specific results of joint research aimed at improving the processing speed of fully homomorphic encryption (TFHE), including the acceptance of a paper by an academic journal associated with the international conference CHES 2026, a new algorithm currently under patent application, and demonstrated acceleration of approximately 1.3 to 3.6 times. At the same time, it positions the technology as early-stage R&D rather than an immediate application to products or commercial services.
