Financial Results Presentation for the Second Quarter (Interim Period) of the Fiscal Year Ending December 2026

During the interim period, revenue increased, driven in part by automotive projects in Asia, while operating income and ordinary income declined because higher raw material and other costs could not be fully reflected in domestic selling prices. Interim net income increased, mainly due to a gain on step acquisitions and other factors.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

Revenue increased, as orders for automotive equipment grew in Asia, while the increase was limited in Japan by lower orders for industrial equipment, office equipment and amusement equipment. The main reason for the decline in operating income was that the domestic parent company was unable to reflect higher raw material and other costs in selling prices as planned. Interim net income increased due to higher interest income and subsidy income, as well as the recognition of a gain on a step acquisition associated with the conversion of the Thai subsidiary into a consolidated subsidiary.
