Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

Although the GX Solutions Business declined, net sales increased due to growth in the Metering Business and Optical Application Inspection Equipment Business. The Metering Business benefited from increases in unit sales and selling prices accompanying the full-scale rollout of second-generation smart meters, as well as the start of mass production in the SMAC Business. The Optical Application Inspection Equipment Business benefited from an increase in 3D inspection systems. In the GX Solutions Business, sales volumes of EV chargers and the PPP/PFI Business declined, while EMS grew.
