The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

Demand for the replacement of aging equipment in Japan's electricity market, demand driven by disaster prevention and national resilience policies, growing overseas demand for products that do not use SF6 gas, progress on projects under construction, and demand for maintenance services contributed to higher sales and profits. Meanwhile, slower progress in the shift to EVs, lower sales volumes for vehicle models incorporating the products, and lower profit margins due to changes in the product mix and equipment utilization reduced sales and profits in some businesses.
