The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the valve manufacturing segment, the company focused on sales for nuclear power applications and other areas. In the maintenance segment, progress on periodic inspection work exceeded plans, and some revenue was recognized ahead of schedule. The increase in profit was attributed to a rise in additional orders for high-value-added projects, mainly related to nuclear power, and a higher-than-planned operating rate for periodic inspection work.
