The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Although the outlook for unit sales has been revised upward in North America and Europe and downward in Asia and Oceania, full-year consolidated unit sales are expected to exceed the previous forecast by 4.0%. In addition, the weaker-than-assumed yen, refunds of US tariffs and the revenue effect of higher sales will increase profit, while higher ocean freight rates due to higher crude oil prices and restrictions on transit through the Panama Canal, as well as sales promotion expenses in the United States, will reduce profit. The dividend was increased after taking into account the profit level for the current fiscal year, the financial position and the shareholder return policy.
