The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Net sales declined due to the absence of the multiple new and renewal projects for automatic ticket vending machines and other ticketing and fare collection equipment included in the previous fiscal year, as well as the reaction to strong sales of banknote processing equipment and other mechatronics equipment associated with the issuance of new banknotes. Profit was affected by the decline in net sales, along with base-pay increases aimed at retaining and securing personnel and investments in anticipation of developing new businesses.
