In the precision molded products business, results at subsidiaries in Indonesia and Thailand exceeded the forecast, and the higher revenue improved the profit margin. Although selling, general and administrative expenses increased, operating profit exceeded the forecast. Despite a ¥30 million foreign exchange loss recorded as a non-operating expense, ordinary profit and interim net income also exceeded the forecast as a result of the upside in operating profit.
