In the Agricultural Machinery Business, orders and sales declined due to weak investment sentiment in the livestock and dairy markets, rising production costs, the expansion of acreage planted to table rice, and the reversal of rush demand in the Korean market. In terms of profit, profitability improved due to the recovery in orders, increased production volume, in-house production following the establishment of a new welding plant, operational improvements and cost reductions, and increased aftermarket parts sales, but these factors were insufficient to offset the decline in sales in the first half.
