Reason for the revision

Demand for reduction gears and mechatronics products has increased across major applications, including industrial robots and semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and net sales are therefore expected to exceed the previous forecast. The profit forecasts have also been revised upward, mainly due to the earnings benefit from higher sales. The forecasts are based on exchange rates of ¥156.59 to the US dollar, ¥179.76 to the euro, and ¥22.52 to the Chinese yuan.
