The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

In Japan, profit increased following revisions to selling prices and improved profitability. Overseas, particularly in North America, however, the Company was unable to absorb impairment losses on rental equipment and higher costs resulting from tariffs, leading to a decline in operating profit. Revenue was supported by domestic sales of hydraulic breakers and steel cutters, expanded sales in Europe and Asia, and after-sales repairs, while declines in domestic sales of grapples and forestry machinery had a partial negative impact.
