The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Revenue increased mainly because sales volume rose 22.3% year on year and foreign exchange movements increased revenue by 12.9%. Operating profit was driven by profit contributions from foreign exchange movements, a decrease in inventory write-downs and lower cost of sales resulting from the negative allocation of part of the U.S. tariff refund to cost of sales. Within selling, general and administrative expenses, personnel costs, logistics costs and research and development expenses were identified as factors reducing profit.
