  1. FY2021-Q3AdvancedAnnual report

「In December 2020, we executed an SDGs-evaluation loan using the Yokohama SDGs Financial Support System (Y-SDGs), established by Yokohama City, where our head office is located, together with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and The Japan Research Institute, Limited. We plan to use the loan to invest in YAMASHIN Nano Filter™, which will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and conserving biodiversity in response to increasingly serious global environmental issues, to invest in establishing a circular production system, and to invest in facilities for developing and producing nanofilter masks equivalent to N95 masks, which are highly effective in preventing infectious diseases.」

As sustainable finance, the company executed an SDGs-evaluation loan using Y-SDGs in December 2020, following the third-party allotment of stock acquisition rights, and indicated that the funds would be used to invest in nanofibers, a circular production system and masks equivalent to N95 masks.
  2. FY2021-Q2First statedAnnual report

「In September 2020, we resolved to issue stock acquisition rights through a third-party allotment as sustainable finance. We obtained a second-party opinion from the Japan Research Institute, Ltd., an external evaluation body, stating that the stock acquisition rights complied with the characteristics of the "Green Bond Principles 2018," "Social Bond Principles 2018" and "Sustainability Bond Guidelines" with respect to the use of the funds raised. The opinion also evaluated the contribution to the goals and targets of the "SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)."」

The use of proceeds from the stock acquisition rights issued through a third-party allotment was aligned with the principles relating to green, social and sustainability bonds, and the company obtained an external evaluation, including an assessment of its contribution to the SDGs.
