Notice Regarding Revisions to Earnings Forecasts

The consolidated full-year earnings forecasts for the fiscal year ending June 2026 have been revised downward, including sales from ¥10,000 million to ¥7,500 million and operating income from ¥1,700 million to ¥630 million. The revisions reflect lower sales to China, delays and interruptions in the manufacturing of overseas projects, and rising costs.

Reason for the revision

In the energy-related business, sales to China declined, manufacturing of projects for markets outside China was pushed back, manufacturing fixed-cost burdens increased due to lower factory utilization, raw material prices and freight rates rose, and some orders already received were suspended. In the water-related business, there were many medium- and small-sized projects, and sales and operating income are therefore expected to fall below plan.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

In the energy-related business, sales to China declined, manufacturing of projects for markets outside China was pushed back, manufacturing fixed-cost burdens increased due to lower factory utilization, and raw material prices and freight rates rose. In addition, some projects were suspended because of customers' financing issues and prolonged discussions over specification changes. In the water-related business, there were many medium- and small-sized projects, and sales and profit are therefore expected to fall below plan.
