「We applied the Accounting Standard for Revenue Recognition (ASBJ Statement No. 29, 31 March 2020) and other standards from the beginning of the first quarter of the fiscal year, and recognise revenue at the amount expected to be received in exchange for promised goods or services when control of those goods or services is transferred to the customer. Accordingly, for contracts under which performance obligations are satisfied over a period of time, for which revenue had previously been recognised at a point in time upon completion of the contract with the customer, we changed the method of recognising revenue over a period of time based on the estimated progress toward satisfaction of the performance obligation.」
