The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. For the fiscal year ended March 2026, the casual wedding business saw an increase in the number of weddings, receptions, small weddings and other events held, as well as improved profitability. Marriage support services for local governments in the regional revitalization business also performed well. Lower SG&A expenses further increased operating profit. In contrast, the matchmaking business reported lower revenue and profit as the number of new members and members on the books declined. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the company plans to review the matchmaking business in cooperation with its capital and business alliance partners, develop new customer segments in the casual wedding business, and step up efforts to secure orders from local governments in the regional revitalization/QOL business.
